George's Premiership Predictions January 10 2015

George had a poor showing last time out with just 2 correct predictions out of the ten games.

This weekend Manchester United take on Southampton at Old Trafford while there is a real six pointer down at the bottom as Burnley take on QPR, who have failed to pick up a single point on their travels this season. Manchester City should continue the woe for Roberto Martinez and his struggling Everton side, while Chelsea are heavy favorites to put last week's loss at Spurs behind them and beat managerless Newcastle at Stamford Bridge.

Soccer - Wollscheid ready to face the Gunners Stoke City's new signing Philipp Wollscheid has confirmed that he is fit and ready to make his debut at Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday. Potters boss Mark Hughes swooped to sign the 25-year-old Germany international central defender from German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen on a loan deal until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. And while it was not clear if Wollscheid will be considered for the trip to the Emirates Stadium, the player claims his loan spell at Mainz in the first half of the season and his fitness work during the winter break in Germany means he is raring to go. He told the Stoke City website: "I am fit and I am ready to go. I had a few tests, and they were very good, and then I went out with the lads and that went really well too, so as far as fitness goes I am in a good place." Wollscheid added that it would be "great" to make his debut at Arsenal, with Stoke 7/1 to win at the Emirates, but will accept Hughes' decision.
