The Estadio Vicente Calderón was the grand old home of Atlético Madrid.

The stadium has since been pulled down and replaced by a park called the Parque Atlético de Madrid. The famed stadium was originally named the Estadio Manzanares after its location near the river.

The name was changed to the Vicente Calderón Stadium to honour the legacy of the club's long term President Vicente Calderón.

The iconic stadium was built in 1966 and was the hub for Atlético's passionate fans before the venue was closed in 2017. Atlético's new home stadium is now the impressive Wanda Metropolitano near Madrid's airport.

The ground was built in 1966 and demolished in 2017.
