Fifa's World Rankings for March 2022 were published on March 31, 2022 at FIFA HQ in Zurich, Switzerland.

There is little significant change in the top 20 positions from February 2022. However, Brazil have leap-frogged Belgium who exited Euro 2020 in the quarterfinals to claim top spot.

France are third followed by Copa America winners Argentina, England, Euro 2020 winners Italy, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and The Netherlands. The top 20 teams are the same as last month's ranking but in a slightly different order.

Senegal the winners of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations are the top African team in 20th place. England remain 5th. Wales are 18th up to slots with the USA in 15th place.

Australia are in 42nd place; Japan stay in 23rd position. Near neighbors South Korea are 29th in the list the same as last time. Scotland are 39th up one place.

The Republic of Ireland are in 47th place, Northern Ireland are 54th. The lowest-ranked team is San Marino in 211th place.
