SJM Hosts "Legends of Tomorrow- Football Camp" with Portuguese Football Hall-of-Famers for Youths in Macao
As the "In Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR: SJM Five-a-side Football Friendly: Portugal Icons vs. GBA Flying Dragon" is set to take place this Sunday, SJM Resorts, S.A. ("SJM") has launched the "Legends of Tomorrow - Football Camp," offering a golden opportunity for local youngsters to learn from some of the biggest names in the world of football.
With technical support provided by the Macao Football Association, the event took place today at the Olympic Sports Centre - Miniature Football Field, where 50 young football enthusiasts from the Macao Football Youth Academy received firsthand coaching from the football greats.
During the football camp, a group of internationally esteemed football stars from Portugal Icons, including Luis Figo, Ricardo Quaresma, Vitor BaÃa, Pauleta, Dimas, Bosingwa, Ricardo Carvalho, Tiago, Nuno Gomes, Maniche, and Hélder Postiga, showcased their skills in ball control and shooting to the youth football players
After the demonstration, these legendary icons provided hands-on training in groups for the participants. The day rounded off with an autograph and photo session, creating lasting memories for the young players.
The primary goal of this football camp is to offer young players a platform to learn professional techniques and nurture future football talents in Macao.
The participants expressed immense appreciation for the chance to interact up close with their football heroes and learn from their expertise. Through the demonstrations and explanations by the football stars, the kids not only learned the important values in football such as teamwork and respect, but also inspired them to continuously strive for improvement.
"I've always seen them on TV, so meeting them in person is like a dream! They're super friendly too! I was surprised to find that these renowned players were incredibly approachable and down-to-earth." exclaimed Chan, one of the young participants.
"Seeing Figo show us moves right in front of me and guides me on my football skills was awesome! I learned some cool tricks, and now I can't wait to try them out in my next game." said Lei, another participant to the football camp.
