On an epic evening at Hampden Park, Scotland beat Denmark 4-2 to qualify for their first World Cup since 1998.
Scotland led twice with goals from man-of-the-match Scott McTominay after only 3 minutes, a superb overhead kick, and Hearts striker and fans' favorite Lawrence Shankland, on as a sub, each time pegged back by the Danes. Manchester United's Rasmus Højlund (on loan at Napoli) from the spot and Patrick Dorgu, also of Manchester United on 81 minutes.
The dismissal of full back Rasmus Kristensen on the hour mark meant the Danes tired at the death and conceded two late goals in added time from Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney and an effort from his own half by Norwich City's Kenny McLean.
