Carlton Town played out a hard-earned 1-1 draw with Racing Club Warwick at the Bill Stokeld Stadium in the Northern Premier League (NPL) Midlands. Great work by the groundstaff to get the playing surface in shape after Storm Goretti.
The home team took the lead in the third minute through Lamin Manneh after a long ball over the top. Warwick levelled in the 13th minute with a scrappy effort from James Harding.
It looked like a goal fest in the offing but no more followed. A point each and both sides move on.

Carlton Town FC - 'The Millers' - are a club based in Gedling, Nottingham that compete in the Northern Premier League (NPL) Midlands Division, the 8th tier of the pyramid in England.
The club were formed in 1904 as Sneinton Football Club and joined the English football league system in 1995-1996.
Opponents Racing Club Warwick date from 1919 as Saltisford Rovers and changed their name in 1970. Their ground, Townsend Meadow, is located a 10 minute walk from Warwick racecourse, hence the name!

The Bill Stokeld Stadium is a 10 minute drive northeast of Nottingham Station. By public transport take a 26 bus from Victoria Centre to Florence Road, then walk about 10 minutes.
