Leeds United were at the wrong end of an emphatic 0-4 result at Elland Road which saw Arsenal extend their lead at the top of the English Premier League to 7 points from second place Manchester City who play their game in hand today.
The Gunners overcame an early setback with Bukayo Saka ruled out just before kickoff due to injury in the warm-up. Noni Madueke stepped in impressively and played a key role in the opening goal.
Arsenal took control early. In the 27th minute, Madueke delivered an excellent cross from the right, which MartÃn Zubimendi headed powerfully into the net for 1-0.
Leeds struggled to respond, and Arsenal doubled their lead in the 38th minute via an own goal. Madueke's corner was punched straight into his own net by Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow, making it 2-0 at halftime.
Second half
The visitors remained in command after the break. Viktor Gyökeres added a third in the 69th minute, finishing clinically to extend the advantage.
Substitute Gabriel Jesus rounded off the scoring in the 86th minute with a superb strike (assisted by Martin Ødegaard), sealing a comprehensive 4-0 victory.
