Juventus, Manchester City, Inter Milan & Chelsea to Head to Hong Kong in Summer 2026

RECORD SETTING HONG KONG FOOTBALL FESTIVAL RETURNS THIS SUMMER WITH FOUR WORLD-CLASS EUROPEAN CLUBS

HKFF

TEG Sport has announced the return of the Hong Kong Football Festival (‘HKFF’) this August featuring four of the world’s most decorated clubs: Manchester City, FC Internazionale Milano, Chelsea FC, and Juventus. Scheduled from 31 July to 5 August 2026, two matches will be staged at the 50,000-seat, state-of-the-art Kai Tak Stadium at Kai Tak Sports Park.

The 2026 edition follows a landmark return of top-tier football last year, which attracted over 100,000 fans. The festival serves as a critical final preparation stage for these European giants ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Match Schedule:

● The Asahi Super Dry Trophy, Manchester City vs FC Internazionale Milano: Saturday, 1 August 2026

● The Herbalgy Trophy, Chelsea FC vs Juventus: Wednesday, 5 August 2026

The opening fixture sees Manchester City, the only club to win four consecutive Premier League titles, face three-time European champions Inter.

One of the most successful clubs in the English Premier League, the Cityzens have enjoyed success on both domestic and international fronts, most notably completing an outstanding UEFA Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup Treble in 2023, in addition to seven FA Cups, nine Football League Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup.

Since their last visit to Hong Kong in 2019, Manchester City have firmly established themselves as one of the most feared clubs in the world.

Inter is currently first in Serie A. The Italian football giant has the highest home game attendance in Italy and in its more than 100-year history, has built a legacy of excellence, winning 37 domestic titles – 20 Serie A titles, nine Italian Cups and eight Italian Super Cups – and nine international trophies – three UEFA Cups, two European Champion Clubs’ Cups, one UEFA Champions League, two Intercontinental Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup.

Inter was last in Hong Kong in 1997 when they played in a friendly against local First Division club, Sing Tao.

The second match features Chelsea FC, the current FIFA Club World Cup holders and the only club to have won every major trophy in the modern-era, taking on the legendary Juventus, the first team in history to have won the European Triple Crown of the Champions League, UEFA Cup, and Cup Winners' Cup. Chelsea FC are six-time First Division / Premier League Champions, eight-time FA Cup, and five-time Football League Cup Champions, and have two UEFA European Champions League titles and one FIFA Club World Cup, while Juventus holds the record for winning the most domestic league titles, Coppa Italia, and Italian Super Cups with 38, 15, and nine, respectively, and has won two European Cups / UEFA Champions Leagues.

These two clubs last competed in the same group at the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League, with each team winning at home. Chelsea FC last played in Hong Kong in 2011, while Juventus visited the city in 2016 to play a match as part of the Juventus Jeep Tour. The highly-anticipated HKFF 2026 is organised and promoted by the global events producer and promoter TEG Sport and sanctioned by the Football Association of Hong Kong, China. It will take place at Kai Tak Stadium.
