Soccer Sevens

An exciting roster of football legends, headlined by Marek Hamšík, Bacary Sagna, Timm Klose, Kevin Kurányi and Tommaso Berni, has been confirmed for Yau Yee League All Stars at the Masters Tournament of the highly anticipated HKFC Standard Chartered Soccer Sevens 2026, taking place from 22–24 May.

Additionally, veteran defender Charlie Daniels and former Arsenal star Luís Boa Morte will join PFA All Stars, with Daniels marking a high-profile return to the event after famously playing in the main tournament for Tottenham Hotspur in 2007.

At the helm of Yau Yee League All Stars is Hong Kong football legend and Irish Harps stalwart Paul Crompton. The team has assembled a side that blends world-class experience, attacking flair and defensive steel. Hamšík, the Slovakian and SSC Napoli icon, remains one of the most decorated attacking midfielders of his generation, having surpassed Diego Maradona as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer in 2017.

He is joined by clinical striker Kurányi, the former German international whose impressive career across Schalke 04, VfB Stuttgart, TSG Hoffenheim and Dynamo Moscow is marked by exceptional aerial ability and finishing prowess. Meanwhile, former Arsenal and Manchester City stalwart Sagna brings top-notch defensive pedigree to the side.

The defense is further bolstered by the seasoned former Swiss international Klose, who brings vast experience from the Bundesliga and English football, while the veteran goalkeeper Berni, who has represented iconic clubs including Inter Milan, Lazio, and Fiorentina, completes the powerhouse lineup. Beyond the announcement of Yau Yee League All Stars, the addition of Daniels and Boa Morte to PFA All Stars brings further prestige to the game.

Having played for Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth, Daniels offers both defensive reliability and a dangerous attacking threat from the left flank. Meanwhile, Boa Morte, who played in England's top flight for Arsenal, Southampton, Fulham and West Ham United, is set to boost PFA All Stars squad’s attacking potency. The presence of these world-class players is expected to elevate the weekend of high-level football to new heights
