Iran v Belgium, World Cup 2026
Belgium and Iran played out a 0-0 draw in their Group G game at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles.
A red card for defender Nathan Ngoy in the second half stymied The Red Devils' hopes of a win in LA, despite still having 23 shots during the game. Both Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku, teammates at Napoli in Serie A, had off days, particularly the latter, while Iran goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand was in inspired form.
Egypt now top Group G after beating New Zealand for their first ever World Cup win.
