China has a string of modern football stadiums which are spread throughout the nation.
One is the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre, a major sports stadium located in the Longgang area in Shenzhen in Southern China. It has held major football matches including a 2nd round World Cup qualifier between China and South Korea.
The stadium was first constructed for 2011 to host the 26th Summer Universiade and can fit up to 60,000 fans and it cost up to RMB 530 million to build. A large amount of the cost was used on the design which is the shape of a crystal.
