Scotland v Brazil, World Cup 2026
Scotland lost 3-0 to Brazil in their Group C game at Miami Stadium to leave their progression to the Round of 32 in serious doubt.
Defensive errors cost the Scots dear with Brazil taking the lead in the 7th minute when Scott McKenna's misplaced backpass was intercepted by Rayan, allowing VinÃcius Júnior to round goalkeeper Angus Gunn and slot into an empty net.
Worse was to follow in first half stoppage time with VinÃcius nodding home his second from a cross from Bruno Guimarães.
After the break Manchester United's Matheus Cunha slotted home with the provider once again Guimarães.
Scotland rallied late on but Scott McTominay had two efforts saved by Alisson and there was even time for a brief cameo from Neymar who came on in the 76th minute. Brazil top the group; Scotland have an anxious wait.
