Fifa's World Rankings for April 2023 were published on April 6, 2023 at FIFA HQ in Zurich, Switzerland. They are the first rankings since December 2022.

World Cup winners Argentina replace Brazil at the top of the rankings. France are second followed by Brazil.

Belgium are fourth, followed by England, The Netherlands, Croatia, Euro 2020 winners Italy, Portugal, and Spain. There is no change, in fact, in these positions since December.

Morocco who reached the semifinals in Qatar are now the top African team in 11th place. Wales are 26th up two spots. The USA remain in 13th place (no change).

Australia are in 29th place down two places; Japan are in 20th position. Near neighbors, South Korea are 27th on the list. Scotland are in 36th position.

The Republic of Ireland are in 49th place, and Northern Ireland are 62nd. The lowest-ranked team is San Marino in 211th place.
